Open letter to the Grassfield RC Club

I attended the January Grassfield RC Club meeting and would like some guidance on how to participate in future meetings. Is the club looking for input and discussion from all members or is there a protocol and hierarchy I am not aware of? I attended the meeting under the assumption that members had the right to express opinions or at least be welcome to bring up subjects for discussion. If this is not the case, then what is the purpose of holding an open meeting? The reason I ask is I brought up a subject that I felt warranted discussion and was immediately told “no – not going to happen – end of discussion.” I was under the impression that all members had a voice in this club. That was not the case at the meeting. I was treated very disrespectfully by the person conducting the meeting and another member of the club. It became very apparent that open discussion for all members is not the protocol for this club.
